Share the Warmth Blanket Drive for Seniors

Cuero Regional Hospital and Cuero Home Health are kicking off a blanket drive for the elderly. Many seniors find it challenging to stay warm during the chilly Texas winter months, especially those on a fixed income. Exposure to extreme cold temperatures can cause major complications, even death for the elderly. Blankets are a way to provide some control to utility costs, as well as help to maintain normal body temperatures.

The “Share the Warmth” blanket drive will take place until Friday, Nov. 29, 2019. Those wishing to receive a blanket are to call Cuero Home Health to place a request. Blankets will be handed out until donations are exhausted.

Donors wishing to participate in the blanket drive may drop off new blankets until Friday, Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. at either Cuero Regional Hospital, located at 2550 N. Esplanade in Cuero or Cuero Home Health, located at 615 N. Esplanade in Cuero. For more information, call 361-275-8999.

Start time: 9:00 AM (All day event)
