Cuero, Texas: In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Cuero Regional Hospital is proud to present their annual Runway for a Cure: Breast Cancer Awareness Fashion Show VIRTUALLY on Tuesday, Oct. 20 starting at 7 p.m. on their Cuero Regional Hospital Facebook page to celebrate local survivors and fighters!
Modeling local fashions from area boutiques will be local breast cancer survivors and community supporters/leaders. Viewers will enjoy an inspirational evening of beautiful fashions from local Cuero boutiques, as well as educational and inspirational messages regarding early detection from CRH medical leadership. Several Cuero boutiques have already secured their spot in the fashion show – Be Boutique, Primrose Cottage and Maison Chic Bridal to name a few.
“Given the terrific response from the community to this event in the past, we didn’t want to let COVID-19 prevent us from growing awareness on the importance of early detection and to show support for those in the fight,” said Lynn Falcone, Cuero Health CEO. “That is why we choose to make this a virtual event and broadcast it from our Facebook page. There is no cost to view the show, but there are opportunities to donate or sponsor on our Eventbrite.com page. Proceeds from this event go straight back to the community in the form of providing mammograms to the underinsured with our new 3D mammography. We do not want cost to be a barrier when it comes to this life-saving early detection,” Falcone said.
“As a breast cancer survivor and leader of the nursing team at Cuero Regional Hospital, I am honored to serve as emcee again this year and it is exciting to see this shift to a virtual event! Early detection was key for me, offering many treatment options, so I plan to share that message with those viewing the professionally filmed and produced show on our Cuero Regional Hospital Facebook page,” said Judy Krupala, Chief Nursing Officer at Cuero Regional Hospital.
Sponsorships, including mammogram sponsors of $70 each, as well as donation opportunities are available on Eventbrite.com. They can be purchased on Eventbrite.com (search for Runway for a Cure). This offer is a cash/pre-pay at time of service only; no insurance companies, Medicaid or Medicare will be billed. Call 361-275-0170 to schedule your appointment today or for any questions.
