Bfit Cuero Wellness Center to Host 2018 Turkey Trot Run
Cuero, Texas: The Eleventh Annual Turkey Trot 5K will be Saturday, October 13 at 8 a.m. at BFit Cuero Wellness Center. Registration starts at 7 a.m. The race benefits Cuero Wellness Center and new this year, a portion of the race proceeds will benefit The Boys and Girls Club of Dewitt County. The top three finishers in each age group will receive medals and prize packs. Winners will be announced following the race, right before Ruby Begonia takes on Paycheck in the second leg of the Great Gobbler Gallop.
"In the past we've had 100 participants, but this year we are changing things up to encourage a stronger participation. We are partnering with The Boys and Girls Club of Dewitt County and supporting them with a portion of the race proceeds. We are hoping many more will come out to support this worthwhile organization," said Tami Brzozowski, Cuero Wellness Center manager and race organizer.
The course takes runners and walkers through historic Cuero. After the race, participants can stay to watch the Great Turkey Gallop, as well as other fun events happening during Cuero Turkeyfest.

Register online at Active.com. Registration fees are $25 before October 1 and $30 after that date. Sponsorships are available to area individuals or businesses.
