Breast Cancer Survivors and Supporters Will Walk the Runway Tuesday, Oct. 1
Cuero, Texas: In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Cuero Regional Hospital Cuero Regional Hospital is proud to present Runway for a Cure: Breast Cancer Awareness Fashion Show and Luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 11:30 – 1 p.m. at The Venue on Church Street to celebrate local survivors and fighters!
Modeling local fashions from area boutiques will be local breast cancer survivors and community supporters. Attendees will enjoy an inspirational afternoon of beautiful fashions, spectacular food and celebrate breast cancer fighters and survivors.
“Last year was our first year to hold the event, and given the response from the community, we decided to grow the event and move it to The Venue on Church Street to accommodate a larger audience and help grow awareness for the importance of early detection and to show support for those in the fight,” said Lynn Falcone, Cuero Health CEO. “Proceeds from this event go straight back to the community. We use the funds to support those that cannot afford to have a mammogram. We do not want cost to be a barrier when it comes to this life saving early detection,” Falcone said.
Local boutiques will be showing off their latest fashions and spinning exciting music for the models to walk the runway will be local Mike Cantu. Attendees can expect exceptional cuisine from local favorite The Pecan House, fashions galore, and pink everywhere! Attendees are encouraged to wear pink to the event as well.
“As a breast cancer survivor and leader of the nursing team at Cuero Regional Hospital, I am honored to serve as emcee and host again this year. Early detection was key for me, offering many treatment options, so I plan to share that message with attendees,” said Judy Krupala, Chief Nursing Officer at Cuero Regional Hospital.
Tickets are on sale and are $25 each. They can be purchased on Eventbrite.com (search for Runway for a Cure Cuero to find the page).
