Cuero Health recognizes National Hospital Week (May 8 – 14), celebrating all of the dedicated individuals – physicians, nurses, food service workers, administration, therapists, volunteers, and so many more – for their caring about you and our community. This week it’s important to reflect on the important work our hospital performs each day, the outstanding results it produces and the difference our organization makes in our community.

We at Cuero Health continue to serve our community as a Certified Stroke Ready Center; a Level IV Trauma Center. Additionally, we began an outpatient would clinic and increased our services in our ICU by adding pulmonary/critical care services.

There are very few among us who have not been touched in some way by the exceptional, compassionate staff at Cuero Regional Hospital. From providing medical care in our facilities to running vital programs in our community, to volunteering and sponsoring community events such as free women’s cancer screenings, heart screenings, OB Fair and free vaccination clinics. The Cuero Health team is committed to providing compassionate care to those we serve with a commitment to excellence in all we do.

A full slate of activities for our employees is planned for this week including a family movie night at the Grand Theater in Yoakum, Kona Ice provided by the Cuero Chamber of Commerce, and breakfast tacos served by the hospital leadership team. The community is also invited to join us in concluding our hospital week activities for a free community street dance presented by ConocoPhillips and co-sponsored by the City of Cuero, Cuero Chamber of Commerce and Cuero Main Street. The dance is Friday, May 13^th from 6pm – 10pm in downtown Cuero under the library pavilion. The Emotions will take stage at 7pm. Come out and enjoy concessions by 5D Travelin’ Tavern, KB BBQ, Kona Ice and Mom’s Tamales .
