Cuero Regional Hospital is Hosting a Pinknic for Breast Cancer Awareness Month; Other Awareness Events Planned in October
Cuero, Texas: In honor of breast cancer awareness month in October, Cuero Regional Hospital is launching a new event: a Pinknic. Set for Friday, October 1 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., ticket holders can drive-thru the front main entrance of Cuero Regional Hospital to pick up their “Pinknic” lunch to go. Tickets are available online at Eventbrite.com and are $20 per ticket; proceeds provide mammograms to those in need. Lunch delivery is also available in DeWitt County for those that order 5 or more lunches. For those unable to attend, but wishing to donate, a donation option is available as well on the website.
The menu for the Pinknic includes: cranberry and candied pecan chicken salad, sliced fresh fruit, lemon poppy seed bread, strawberry angel food cake parfait and bottled water & pink lemonade. Each ticket also includes entry to a raffle for one-hour massages at Cuero Wellness Center, two Brighton bracelets and $50 gift certificates to The MedSpa at Cuero Wellness Center.
Tickets are only available online at www.Eventbrite.com (search “Pinknic Cuero”). The ticket site also has an option to make a donation of any amount and a $250 sponsorship that includes six lunches and business or individual name recognition. All proceeds will go into the mammogram fund for those in need. Ticket sales will close on September 24 and only 200 lunch tickets will be sold.
PINK OUT GAME @ GOBBLER STADIUM
On Friday, Oct. 15, the Gobblers will recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a Pink Out game. Cuero Regional Hospital will be on site (by the turkey statue next to the stadium) as we “Tackle the Cure.” We will have informational pieces on mammograms, medical providers and staff on hand to answer questions, as well as have some pink items to pass out to game attendees. Find us near the stadium that evening starting at 6:30 p.m. before the game.
TSHIRT FUNDRAISER FOR MAMMOGRAMS
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Cuero Regional Hospital has coordinated a t-shirt fundraiser with Exibix, Inc. with all proceeds helping to provide mammograms to those in need. The t-shirts feature “Faith, Hope, and Love” with the breast cancer awareness ribbon and are $20 each. All sizes are available and t-shirt color options are navy or pink. OCTOBER MAMMOGRAM SPECIAL
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Cuero Regional Hospital is offering a Mammogram special of $60 for a 2D digital screening mammogram and reading or $100 for their Genius 3D Mammography™ exam and reading. No physician order is required to schedule; but patients will be required to identify a physician to receive your report. If patient does not have a physician, they may select from a list of Cuero Health providers to receive their report.
