It has two objectives: 1) to focus on the power of sharing one’s personal decision to register as an organ, eye and tissue donor; and 2) encourage registered donors to ask members of their personal networks and communities to talk about organ, eye and tissue donation. Turkeyfest 2019, Oct. 11 – 13, 2019
Saturday, October 12 – Turkey Trot 2019
The Twelfth Annual Turkey Trot 5K will be Saturday, October 12 at 8 a.m. at BFit Cuero Wellness Center. Registration starts at 7 a.m. The race benefits Cuero Wellness Center and a portion of the race proceeds will benefit The Boys and Girls Club of Dewitt County. The top three finishers in each age group will receive medals and prize packs. Winners will be announced following the race, right before Ruby Begonia takes on Paycheck in the second leg of the Great Gobbler Gallop. The course takes runners and walkers through historic Cuero. After the race, participants can stay to watch the Great Turkey Gallop, as well as other fun events happening during Cuero Turkeyfest. Register online at Active.com. Registration fees are $25 before October 1 and $30 after that date. Sponsorships are available to area individuals or businesses.
