Cuero Health: National EMS Week May 19 – 25, 2019

Cuero, Texas: The Cuero Regional Hospital EMS team is proud to share that May 19-25, 2019, is the 45th annual National EMS Week. In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week to celebrate EMS practitioners and the important work they do in our nation's communities.
Each year, the National Association of EMTs (NAEMT) partners with the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) to lead annual EMS Week activities. Together, NAEMT and ACEP are working to ensure that the important contributions of EMS practitioners in safeguarding the health, safety and wellbeing of their communities are fully celebrated and recognized.
EMS Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front line." However celebrated, EMS Week is the perfect time to recognize EMS and all that its practitioners do for our nation. The 2019 EMS Week theme is "BEYOND the CALL."
“When it comes to Cuero Regional Hospital EMS team, their sense of responsibility doesn’t end when their shift does. Our team is dedicated to lifesaving patient care. We are called to serve our community every day and it something we do with pride and compassion. I like this year’s theme ‘Beyond the Call’ as I believe that is true for each of our team members,” said Freddie Solis, Cuero Regional Hospital EMS Director.
