Cuero Health’s Hospital Week Raises $1,550 for CAMAL House Food Pantry

Funds to be matched by Cuero Community Foundation for total gift of $3,100

Cuero, Texas: Celebrating Hospital Week and recognizing the frontline heroes, especially during this period of pandemic, was very important to Cuero Regional Hospital. And, according to Brenda Martin, head of internal activities committee at CRH, it was more important than ever to give back to the community.

Cuero Health (including Cuero Regional Hospital, Cuero Health Clinics, Cuero Home Health and Cuero Wellness Center) celebrated Hospital Week May 10 – 26, 2020. The celebration incorporated a 50th anniversary theme raffle with proceeds going to local food pantry CAMAL House, located in Cuero, Texas. The raffle ended on Friday of Hospital Week with three large baskets filled with $50 gift cards from local shops, Cuero Health 50th anniversary logo items and more. $1,550 was raised in the week period thanks to the generosity of hospital employees.

“Thanks to our generous sponsors of Hospital Week this year, we were able to raise funds for our local food pantry from our raffle and were thrilled at the response. We deposited $1,550 to Cuero Community Foundation, as their matching grant will double this blessing, providing $3,100 total to CAMAL House. We are blessed to help those less fortunate,” said Brenda Martin, RT at Cuero Regional Hospital.

“We also want to take this opportunity to thank our community for your support. From the community parade that was organized by our Cuero Chamber to our sponsors that made it possible for our employees to receive Hospital Week t-shirts, you made this week unforgettable. Our staff thanks you each and every day for your support of your hometown hospital,” said Martin.
