“We have been overwhelmed with support from our community for our efforts during this historic pandemic and, this award, which is presented from our business community, is such an honor for our organization,” said Lynn Falcone, CEO of Cuero Regional Hospital. “To receive this recognition from the business leaders in DeWitt County acknowledges our hospital’s teamwork in providing compassionate care to each of our patients. I am proud of our team for their contributions that helped us achieve this award,” said Falcone.

Angie Cuellar, Executive Director of the Cuero Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture & Visitors Bureau, shared, “It is difficult to put into words the tremendous job that Cuero Regional Hospital has done and continues to do battling the pandemic, helping to keep our community healthy and safe every day… they met each challenge with resilience and strength!”

Cuero Regional Hospital was also recognized recently as one of the Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals in the US by The Chartis Group. To determine the 2021 list, the Chartis Center used the Hospital Strength Index, which assesses performance in eight areas: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charge and financial efficiency. “Our healthcare system has made so many progressive strides in the recent years and we have an excellent team in place that has made recognition like this possible. I commend the leadership team and their staff for providing care that is not only compassionate, but affordable to the many communities we serve,” said Falcone.
