Cuero Regional Hospital participates in neonatal resuscitation program provided by Methodist Pediatric Outreach

Cuero, Texas: Methodist Pediatric Outreach recently provided a NRP hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing at Cuero Regional Hospital's Childbirth Center on October 27, 2018. Three CRH Physicians and five CRH staff participated in the simulation. The Neonatal Resuscitation Program is a nationally recognized certification for healthcare providers.

The NRP course conveys an evidence-based approach to care of the newborn at birth & facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery, utilizing a blended learning approach, including this hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing.

Cuero Regional Hospital is a Level 1 Neonatal Facility (Well Nursery) in Perinatal Care Region-S as designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Per the Certificate of Designation, "Cuero Regional Hospital meets all standards of care relating to the treatment of neonates in Texas, actively advocates for neonatal system development and works to improve the availability and quality of neonatal care as an active member of Golden Crescent Perinatal Care Region."
