Cuero Community Hospital has partnered with Victoria Emergency Associates for its Emergency Department as of November 1, 2014. Victoria Emergency Associates (VEA) is now providing emergency room staffing and medical services to not only Cuero Community Hospital, but services both DeTar Navarro, DeTar North, Gonzales Memorial Hospital, Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville and Uvalde Memorial Hospital, seeing approximately 80,000 patients per year. Dr. Jim Brand is the founder of VEA and has more than three decades of experience and practice in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Brand is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and is licensed to practice medicine in Texas and Hawaii. Dr. Kevin Denton will continue to serve as the Cuero Community Hospital's Trauma Medical Director. The partnership with Victoria Emergency Associates demonstrates Cuero Community Hospital's ongoing commitment to providing expert emergency care provided by highly trained emergency physicians and registered nurses experienced in treating patients with urgent and emergency conditions.
