Foundation news | Thursday, October 21, 2021

DeWitt Medical Foundation received a $20K Power Up Grant from GVEC Electric to renovate and transition the existing Disaster Trailer into a Regional Mobile Health Trailer operated by Cuero Regional Hospital. The City of Cuero, several local businesses and local first responding agencies have pledged their support and will assist in completing the trailer.

The Cuero Regional Mobile Health Trailer will be used for various operations such as:
• A Medical Unit working alongside Yoakum’s Police Department’s command trailer in operations such as Active Shooter events and Mass Casualty Events.
• A Mobile Rehab Unit working together with various fire departments in the area for large wildland grass fires and large facility fires.
• A Mobile Health Vaccine site for our community and children within our area school districts.
