Cuero, Texas: The ICU renovation project at Cuero Regional Hospital is fully complete. Thanks to the generous support of the Cuero Regional Hospital Board of Directors and Cuero Regional Hospital Volunteers, the ICU has new floors, new nursing station, as well as new paint to complete the look. Thanks to extensive planning by CRH leadership, the exceptional ICU staff didn't miss a beat when they had to move temporarily to the Day Surgery Area during the renovations. This minimized the impact on patient care and the staff is thrilled to have returned to their improved department.

"One of the main goals of this project was to approve the aesthetics of the space to better accommodate patients and their loved ones. It is proven that healing outcomes improve when family and loved ones spend quality time in a patient's room, so we replaced the white walls with a more soothing cream colored paint. Each room contains modernized equipment and amenities that assist our exceptional caregivers to provide the finest care in the region," said Jennifer Janssen, Director of ICU.

"Being on the Board of Directors for Cuero Regional Hospital offers the ability to implement real change in the Hospital that improves the quality of care the staff provides. We are proud to support the new decentralized, modern nursing station which offers our nurses the ability to observe their patients from a bird's eye view. The look and feel of the renovated ICU wing is warm and welcoming to employees while they care for patients and their loved ones," said Richard Wheeler, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

"The ICU at Cuero Regional Hospital houses the most critical patients. As volunteers supporting CRH, we wanted to be involved in helping to breathe new life into the space and were pleased to support the project by providing new flooring. The new ICU wing is now a space that provides hope and comfort to those we serve; our friends, our neighbors and our families," said Emily Davis, Treasurer for Cuero Regional Hospital's Volunteers.

"We thank our amazing Board and Volunteers for their philanthropic hearts. We are grateful for their generosity as we fulfill our mission to provide compassionate care to those we serve with a commitment to excellence in all we do," said Lynn Falcone, CEO of Cuero Health.
